Who are The Baggy Bottom Boys? Find Out Here

I have not got to meet every one of these guys. However Wyatt Nations (AKA my future husband) speaks very highly of them. I have listened to their music and watched them on Facebook for over a year. They are one amazing group of guys. I am looking forward to the day we do an event together.

Wyatt has recorded two of their songs that Eugene Montgomery wrote.

Too Busy and WWJD!

I am grateful for their influence on Wyatt and his music and he is as well.

  • BIO FROM THE BAGGY BOTTOM BOYS

The Baggy Bottom Boys are a Country Gospel Music Ministry, dedicated in serving our Lord Jesus Christ and to glorify His Name with the talents He has given us. We lift Him up and praise His Name whenever and wherever He leads us.We Believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven,We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He came into the world to die for us ,and rose from the dead on the third day, so that we can have eternal life with Him.We believe that you must have a personal relationship with Him. You must confess to Him that you are a sinner and ask Him to forgive your sin and ask Him to come into your heart and save you. Believers baptism follows salvation which symbolizes His death ,burial, and ressurection. Our faith and hope is in Jesus Christ.
Dedicated to spreading God’s word through their music has become more rewarding than they could have ever imagined. The groups founder and leader Eugene Montgomery, started with a passion for music from a legacy that was left by his dad. They have been inspired by their christian families and friends, loved by all their audiences, and blessed to have met so many wonderful people with a love for Jesus Christ. Each one of them have a deep love for Country Gospel Music. And, through the message of their songs, it is their desire for people to come to know Christ, and to have a close relationship with Him. “We can relate the songs to our lives and enjoy singing them, and seeing others relate too”. “Just being able to minister thru song is such a great and rewarding experience”. God continues to use them in ways they never thought possible. He has opened many doors and they have had the opportunity to go to many different kinds of churches and fellowship with such loving christian people. “People respond to Country Gospel Music because the songs are about things in life that most people understand”. Wherever God leads them is where they go and enjoy it while having fun. They are all truly good friends and they all have the same goal: To see Christ Glorifyed through their personal testimonies and talents to encourage others to live for Jesus Christ.

How long have you been writing and singing Country Gospel Music?

I started writing and singing country gospel music in 2006 .

Do you write all of your music?

I have written the words and music to 21 songs, and another 12 songs we have recorded I have written the music to. These were songs that friends of mine had given me words to . Some were poems others were written to be a song but had no music. They just felt like we could do something with them and we did. The words had a great message in them and I was thrilled to get them. I come up with a melody and arrange the words, Steve comes up with a bass line and Jerry comes up with the lead break. The friends that shared their songs with me included David Hancock, Bob Montgomery, Janice Hutto, Bill Donnely, Chris Hubbard, Dorman Pullen, J.D. Walters, and my wife Sandra Montgomery. We also sing a lot of older hymns that everyone loves.

Where did the name Baggy Bottom Boys come from?

We were asked to sing 4 songs at our church to kick off a Gospel Fest where several groups and indivduals would be singing. So we thought it would be funny if we dressed up in overalls and 3 of us lived in Hideaway Bay, so we thought it would be funny to be called ” The Hideaway Bay Baggy Bottom Boys”. We later dropped the Hideaway Bay part because it was too much of a tongue twister LOL. As it turned out about 300 people showed up from several churches, and I began getting calls to come sing at their church. They are still calling 10 years later. God took our funny little joke and began to use it for His glory. We share our testimonies about how we came to know Jesus Christ as our Savior and we sing about it in our songs and I believe that is why God has blessed our ministry.

Who are the Baggy Bottom Boys?

The Baggy Bottom Boys consist of Paul Bolton singing bass, Glenn Wylie singing tenor, Steve Doody playing bass guitar, Jerry Robinson playing lead guitar, and myself, Eugene Montgomery playing rhythm guitar and singing lead.

How long have y’all been together as a group?

We 5 have been together since 2008 and we all believe that the Lord put us together. Each of us has a different personality but we all have the same calling.

Do you sing on your own or always with the group?

I always sing with the Baggy Bottom Boys. Only on a few occasions have I sang without them. We are booked pretty much every week of the year. We already have 46 bookings for 2016 , so that keeps us pretty busy . Also we are working on a new CD. Occasionally we get a week or two off and try to enjoy that time.

What is a funny story you can share with us about being on the road or on stage?

One Sunday morning I woke up with the police knocking on my door. I jumped up and went to the door, The officer was checking to see if I was alright. I said yes sir I’m fine, He said well there’s about 500 people at the Cowboy Church worried about you. I looked at the clock and the first service was just starting ! I made it for the second service ! It was funny afterward but boy it wasn’t funny at the time . The Boys got a friend of ours at the church to sing with them for the first service, then when I got there they all laughed and made a big announcement that I was alive and well .

Then one Sunday I was about to sing God on the Mountain and I was telling how God is always there for us whether we are up on the mountain or down in the valley, and about that time I tripped over a step on the stage and fell down, I hopped up and said well I was down , now I’m up !

What is the most difficult situations you face out there on the roads?

The most difficult situations we face on the roads are of course the traffic these days and trying to find the churches we are going to. Other difficult situations are getting the sound set in places with terrible acoustics, such as a gym !

If you could share three tips with other artist that would encourage them to keep pushing forward what would those be?

(a) If it is in God’s plan for you to minister through your music, He will make it happen , Not You. (b) sing songs that speak to your heart, that have a message that you want to share with others. (c) I do not believe that I am a good singer, but I do the best that I can, and that is all God wants us to do. The rest is up to the Lord. Share the gospel then look and listen to see what the Lord is doing with it and you will be surprised . He can take nothing and make something out of it.

Thank you Eugene Montgomery for this interview and letting us be a part of your ministry.

His Dreams Are Bigger Than Mine!

I just finished a blog on my Mending Fences N Hearts site about some of my dreams. Please click on it to see how God has far surpassed my dreams.

http://mendingfencesnhearts.weebly.com/kickn-it-java-style/cowgirl-dreams-come-true
God has placed me right in the middle of His dreams for my life!  I could never have dreamed this big. And what is really great is this is just the beginning.

I just started as a dj for Inspirational Country Radio 94.1. I have my very own program M-F night.

I have people asking for my help with their social media and that is ALL GOD!  He has taught me so much in this area.
I am still part of the God Squad with Carol and Hannah Hogner and Michele Nolte. We are doing weekly bible studies and growing closer. That’s is such a God kiss.
The biggest one yet is I am marrying my God Man!  Wyatt Nations and I will be getting married in April. He sings Christian Country music and our ministries are becoming a ministry!!  How much better can it get!

I have a new program on my computer because of the new dj position. This means I can launch my KIJS with Cassie as a syndicated program. I will be working on all that!

I have written a book that will be published. However I do need prayer on that one. I have to type it all out again because the program it was under messed it up. ?.

So as you can see all this is far more than I ever dreamed. ❤️

Are you breathing?

Have you ever found yourself at a place in life that you realized you have been holding your breath for days, weeks and maybe months?

Not literally but emotionally and spiritually you have been holding in your breath. You walk around feeling like if you do one thing wrong or take one step in the wrong direction that everything with blow up, disappear or just be ruined. So you walk around tip toeing, holding it all in, carrying around thoughts, concerns and feelings that belong on the weight of your Father God!

Did you ever play that game in the pool where you tried to see who could hold their breath the longest?  At first you thought I got this, see I can beat them, I don’t need air one more minute on my own and I am going to make it. Then all of a sudden you find your struggling and even start to feel little bit fearful and you pop up out of the water and take a huge deep breath. When you take that breath your body relaxes, those fears that maye your going to pass out and this is it are gone and you know you made it to the top!

I realized today that I do this very thing. I get really busy and I start competing against the world around me. I start trying to out survive the situation, the tiredness, the emotions etc…  The thing to do in these times in our lives is shove ourselves upward just like in the pool. Get our focus at the top where we can breathe in the very life of God!

Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God has made me,And the breath of the Almighty gives me life which inspires me.

You might say how do I breathe in Gods living air? His life?

We do this by letting go of the worries we are carrying. We stop tying to be people pleasers and become God pleasers. We start focusing on what is good and of God!

Philippians 4:6-9 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything every circumstance and situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your specific requests known to God. And the peace of God that peace which reassures the heart, that peace which transcends all understanding, that peace which stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus is yours. Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things in daily life, and the God who is the source of peace and well-being will be with you.
Are you breathing?

Stop right now and think on how good God is in your life and all around you. Breathe out the old junk and take a deep breath of Gods peace and joy!
Blessings,

Cassie G

KL Cleaning N More Where did it all start?

When I was growing up my mom would clean house and crank up some old country music on 8 tracks.  I guess back then it wasn’t old and today its called Classic Country.  I know it was real country for sure.  I remember hearing songs by Red Sovine, Hank Williams SR., Patsy Cline and more.  See I told you it was real country lol.

This song right here was one of my favorites

The other song that I loved so much and still do was Kaw-Liga

Man I want to dance around when I hear this song.  My point is these were fond memories.  My mom would put her hair back in a bandanna and get to cleaning the house and it just made such a neat atmosphere in the house.  You know I really do not remember helping her but I am sure I did.  What I do know is I learned by watching her and I started enjoying those days.

When I was in Jr High we moved across the street from Pat Nigh from Bluejacket OK.  AKA MAMA PAT.  Pat hired me to help her spring clean one year and she trained me to do things such as washing down walls, pulling curtains off the walls and taking cushions off couch to clean.  I would take the cushions and put them in a large strong trash bag and stick the vacuum hose down in the bag.  If you hold it tight around the hose it will collapse the cushion sucking out all the air and removing dust and dead skin cells…ewe…

I got to going over to Mama Pats on Saturdays which was her cleaning days.  At this time in my life my mom was working at the family feed store which they later owned and ran.  Anyways on those days guess what we had that good ol country music playing on cassette tapes and even cds as the years passed.  We played some of the classics and we listened to a lot of George Straight and Reba.  Songs such as the Chair and Whoever s in New England

I lived across from her from 8th grade till I graduated.  I continued to work for her and even still do from time to time.

So as you can see I have had two amazing women inspire me and teach me to clean…

Cleaning…well cleaning makes me feel good.  It has great memories connected to it.  I get a good work out, feel I accomplished something and help someone else.

I have been cleaning homes for a living or extra money now for 27 years.  WOW… I once had a full time job in the corporate world.  I cleaned the office floors, kitchens, fitness center, and corporate apartment.  I have to say even with the great benefits that it was not the same feeling.  I really did not see the faces of the people I was helping and it was not personal at all.  I love developing relationships and friendships with my clients.  I still have some here or there that really are not any more than business at least on their end of it.  I still feel like I am somehow making their lives better by just doing my job.

KL Cleaning N More

You know I have tried out a couple of different names and this one stuck.  What is funny is my name is Cassie Gilman so that would be CG.  In all these years since I started using this name(I think 2007) I have only had two people ask me what does KL stand for?.  OKAY SO HERE IT IS!!! LOL

Kingdom

Living

KL

Cleaning N More=care giving, errands, windows, etc…

So what does Kingdom Living mean to me where this business is concerned?  Good question…

Integrity, Loyalty, Honesty, Promptness, Compassion, Caring…

It also is Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

I believe if I keep my focus on God, He will bring me into the right clients lives, businesses, and homes.  He will also be the One meeting my needs financially through the hands of my clients.

Now today when I clean houses I listen to Reba still but I mainly listen to these two artist…Wyatt Nations and Carol Hogner.

So now you know where KL Cleaning N More Comes from.

Thank you mom and mama Pat for inspiring part of my purpose.

Love Is Not WAM

True love is when you care about someone else’s needs more than you do your own.

“I pray for you more than I do myself” Diary Of The Mad Black Woman

Love is not WAM. What About Me?

It has taken me a long time to know what real love is. I was more concerned with feeling loved and getting shown love than showing it!

I found out what love is!  It is God! It is John 3:16

John 3:16 God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life.

I was watching Wynonna one day on a show and the power of God came into my apartment and the Love of God. I realized that so many selfish and crazy choices I had made was me looking for love. I am so grateful He has shown me and continues to show me through His grace and those He has placed in my life for me to love.
Did you know this “Love Holiday” that we all get so worked up about because we are not receiving flowers or candy or have a “Valentine” was originated in honor of a St Valentine? I did a study on the history of this Holiday. There are many encounters and each one I read was a selfless story of a man who did acts of kidneys and shared Gods love in “secret”. One encounter I read said that he was beheaded for marrying Christian Couples. Back during these ages the Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Church were enemies.

Now that you think about Valentines the “Love” Holiday in this manner and see that it was in honor of a selfless love based on Gods love, mayb we can decide to be a Valentine!

So let’s make this Valentines a true Love Holiday and carry it into everyday life. No more WAM!
