Dream Catcher 3:20

It’s time to be balanced

Have you noticed there is no balance in this world?  What’s wrong is right and what’s right is wrong… We as humans tend to swing from one extreme to the other if we don’t have God as the balancing force in our lives.

I have allowed myself to be so confused about what God wants from me as far as a stand against all that is being forced upon us in this world. I have asked God to show me in His word what He says is the balance. I did a post one day to take a stand and I made religious people mad and liberal people at the same time. Wow how does that happen?  Maybe that means I actually found balance in an area if I made both sides of the subject upset. Either way it made me question myself and I deleted the post all together.

This morning I read a passage and it tells you exactly what to do. I hear people say the law was thrown out with Jesus and that is not true. The law was fulfilled with Jesus. It doesn’t mean we aren’t suppose to do our very best to live by them and then to know God knows we can’t with out Him and the Grace Christ provided for us.
““Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:17-19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you. God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?”

‭‭James‬ ‭4:7-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Now how do we fulfill the laws or even find it within ourselves to do so?  WITH CHRIST!!

“The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:3-14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If we find that we have failed in any of these we look up because God is our redemption. His mercy, grace and love are new each morning.
My point to this is there is a place we stand with the issues we are seeing all around us. We stand by doing what God called us to do and not do and then we do not judge others around us. If we are doing our part our love will speak volumes and His light will shine onto their darkness. Others will either walk out of it and towards the light or they will run from it. It’s just up to us to love God, people and stay in tune with the Holy Spirit with in us.
