Domestic Violence Awareness Month

When I was at conference this year I shared with the ladies 2 situations about domestic violence that was in homes.

One was a home filled with meth and addiction. A very sad situation that even when there was intervention the cycle continued.

The second was about a couple who loved God with all their heart. They stood on a stage in front of church members who loved them and got engaged, then had a wedding filled with ministers and loved ones. They loved each other with all their BROKEN hearts. Anger, bad self images, jealousy, confusion, fear and strife grew stronger than their faith and love. Verbal, Emotional and Physical violence became a habit. Anywhere from throwing things to threats and manhandling.

Don’t think this only happens in low income, drug addicts, and “non believers” homes.

This couple didn’t survive. They now both thrive in their own walks and God has taken their broken hearts 💔 and mended them in His way and timing.

Don’t wait until it gets to the point of breaking apart what you have or who you are. Get help, reach out!

Most of all safety is your first step.
Then get help from Godly men and women who will speak truth, give accountability and LOVE beyond the shock factor and LOVE you through your brokenness to a mended heart ❤️.

It doesn’t have to end in divorce but if it does don’t you walk around in shame like I did for so long.

God still will mend
God will still love
God will still forgive

Positive Life

Day 10 of blogging.

I am going with a podcast today.

I have been doing podcast for a few years now. I have done more of a radio program style in my past. This podcast has been more of a daily life podcast. I will have guest on whenever I can convince someone to join me lol.

I felt like this was a good one to go with today. I woke up early and wondered what I would find on Facebook when I woke up. What event has been canceled. Will they have us confined to our homes by Monday?

If your reading this years down the road, google Toilet paper shortage 2020 lol.

Seriously though… right now is the time to focus on Jesus. Find positive things to focus on during this time of crisis. I am preaching to myself as well.

The thought of being confined, controlled in anyway shape or form is a fear I have always struggled with. FEAR IS A LIAR.

I believe now is the time we step up as THE CHURCH.

I hope this podcast helps you in someway. I am working on focusing on the positive and speaking to the fear!

I’ll be recording more podcast. Please subscribe to keep updated.

His Love Chases After You!

If you have ever raised cattle or any form of livestock, you more than likely have hunted down and chased after a wondering stray! If you have had livestock, you may have not only chased a wandering stray, but you also had to go after a full blown runaway at full speed.

I can see God doing just this in our lives!

I have wondered off the path so many times in my life. I have ran away at full speed, from God and His call on my life. God has always went after me. Sometimes God has just had to go after me with a little nudge or direction for me to get back on the path He had for me. There have been many times God has had to run after me at full speed and get ahead of me! He had to wave His arms in front of me to get me to stop and return to my path.

Check out this video!  This has been me for sure lol

Psalm 23:6The Message (MSG)

6 Your beauty and love chase after me
    every day of my life.

I’m back home in the house of God

for the rest of my life.
His BEAUTY and His LOVE chase after you!

Maybe it’s time we measure all things in our life with His kind of love!
New International Version

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?

Matthew 18:12
Are we chasing after the strays and pursuing them with Gods love?  Or are we driving them further away with our judgment and ridiculing?

Here is another thought for all the single ladies out there!  Do you SEE the Fathers Love?  He gave His only son to chase you down and make you His own!!!  So is that man your chasing after chasing you down with Gods love????
Are we chasing our loved ones down with Gods pursuing love?  Are we making sure they don’t wonder off the path with out being covered in prayer and unconditional love?
Let’s love one another back into the Kingdom and family of God!!

He’s still in the mending business and He is always pursuing you!!!

He waits on us too

My children live 6 and 8 hours from me. Both of them have jobs and busy lives. In order to see them we have to try to get our schedules to match up. This is not always easy!!!!

About two weeks ago I started trying to arrange to go to Tulsa to meet the kids. I had one tell me they had a concert to go to and the other had no idea what her work schedule was going to be. It is very costly to make this trip and I had a choice take the chance they will make time for me or stay home.

As the days went on I looked at my schedule and my bank balance. I decided whatever time I got with them was worth the trip. I booked a hotel and told them this is where I will be and we will work it out. I waited on my daughter to get off work. I waited on my son to make it to Tulsa to eat. He found other things to do so I then had to wait for his concert to be over. I spent the evening and most of the night with my daughter and at 2 am we met my son, his friend and future son in law at IHOP.

IHOP at 2am meant we got to the hotel and into bed at 4. We got up ate breakfast in shifts and we all woke up at different times. We hugged and said our goodbyes.

I was driving home and feeling a little down about the time being so little. In my thoughts I was grumbling about how I just drove all that way spent all that money and now it’s already over. All of a sudden I begin to think wow He waits on us too!

God sacrificed the ultimate sacrifice (His only Son) so we could spend time with Him. God meets us right where we are at. He waits patiently on us! We have our busy schedules and all of our excuses. He says your worth it. I will wait and I will enjoy every moment you give me.

When the kids and I leave each other we miss each other even more than we did before we got together. This is how it is with God. The time we spend with Him leaves us longing for even more time with Him.

I pray we each stop and we turn to Him. He is waiting right there inside you. Waiting for a few moments of quiet fellowship with you.

Isaiah 30:18 And therefore the Lord earnestly waits expecting, looking, and longing to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed happy, fortunate, to be envied are all those who earnestly wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship!
